Chicken Soup for the Beauty Lovers Soul

So I’ve been sick for what feels like eternity. Ok to be real it’s probably only been about a week – I can be dramatic when I’m under the weather. In any case, after the third day of having tissues and chicken noodle soup as my best friends, I decided it was time perk myself up despite feeling yucky. So since it is winter and cold season, I thought I’d share with you my favourite products to boost my mood when I’m not feeling the greatest.

Lush lip scrub in Popcorn – My lips tend to be dry in general, but they are especially bad during the winter months and when I’m ill. This product is great at taking off dry skin and making lips smooth again. My lips feel so hydrated after using this. The yummy popcorn flavour is an added bonus and treat!

Essie Nail Polish in ‘Take it Outside’ – What brightens a girls day more than a fresh coat of nail polish! Although this isn’t the brightest or most uplifting colour, I thought it was great chic look for the winter months.  Here is a closer look at the colour on my nails, and yes, that is my christmas tree in the background.

Body Shop Almond Nail & Cuticle Oil – Keeping on the theme of the hands, these cold Canadian winters mean my hands and cuticle take a beating. After letting the oil soak in, this product provides great moisture to my nails, smells great, and made my hands feel soft while sick.

Body shop Mango Body Scrub – The smell alone on this product is amazing. It really wakes you up when you’re having a dull day. More than that, the scrub is so great that I can instantly feel and see the smoothness of my skin.

First Aid Beauty – I don’t use this cleanser every day, but when my skin feels extra dull this is my go to product. The red clay in this cleanser really gets down deep into my pores and brings life back into my face.

Hope these products help you guys whenever you are having a down day as much as they helped me!

Until next time,

Sarah x
